I wouldn't call this a place for kids or young families, but a relaxing, quiet, thought-provoking museum to visit for adults and young adults. You're free to take pictures, explore at your own pace and even climb upon the carriages for a picture of you like (even though we didn't partake)! Local context for the photographic and cinematographic exhibit was particularly wonderful. The entire building with the indoor courtyard was stunning. Can't praise this place enough - a very refreshing and tranquil experience that's tourist friendly without being expensive, over the top or pandering.

We had a little time to kill and thought we'd pop in to the Museum to see what was in there. I was very impressed with the volume of interesting things inside, it has a wide range of items from old cameras to pots and pans. It felt like a fun place to be and with the extra room at the back and the basement it was much larger than you think. Well worth the entry fee.

As noted a very interesting place for adults and really not advertised. I only found it by chance, could have spent longer there.

This is such a wonderfully curated museum. Not sparse, not overcrowded. The selection of historical objects are excellent. Anyone with a curious mind or enjoys engineering, craftmanship, romanticism, science, military or the mystical will be happy here and almost all descriptions come with English translations. My dad (69yrs) and me (29yrs) had so much to talk about and learn from each other about the various parts. It was a great bonding experience.
